Ancestry Case Downloader is designed to help users download selected image pages from Ancestry and combine those pages into a PDF.
Ancestry Case Downloader does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information or user data.
The extension does not operate its own servers and does not send browsing information, downloaded images, account information, or usage data to the developer or to third parties.
When a user initiates a download operation, the extension may access the active Ancestry tab, read the current image number, interact with image-viewer controls, monitor downloads, process image data locally, and temporarily store download progress.
This information is processed locally within the user's browser and is not transmitted to the developer.
Images downloaded from Ancestry and PDFs generated by the extension remain on the user's device. The developer does not receive, store, or have access to these files.
The extension may temporarily use Chrome's local extension storage to maintain information about an active download operation, such as the current image, ending image, progress, completion status, and errors.
This information remains within the user's browser.
The extension interacts with Ancestry websites and related image-hosting services only as necessary to perform download actions initiated by the user.
Ancestry Case Downloader is an independent extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ancestry.
Ancestry Case Downloader does not sell, transfer, or disclose user data to third parties.
The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, behavioral tracking, or profiling.
Because the developer does not collect user data, there is no developer-operated database containing user information.
The extension is designed to perform its processing locally in the user's browser. The extension does not request or store the user's Ancestry account credentials.
